In 2020, during the Covid-19 outbreak, Mimzy met Cik San while working with the Bethlehem autonomous social space. Despite masculine dynamics in such spaces, they bonded over shared struggles in a heteronormative society, where Mimzy faced mocking labels like "Laura" (Javanese for "neither man nor woman"). Their experiences inspired Mimzy’s 2021 collaboration with Riskya Duavania on Asana Bina Seni, titled Soping San Laura. In 2022, after being rejected by her family and landlord, Mimzy moved in with Cik San. Together, they built a sisterhood, sustaining themselves through rag-and-bone work and selling salvaged second-hand items. Through this nomadic life, Mimzy and Cik San found resilience and a liberating sense of solidarity as trans women navigating a heteronormative society.
